SVHS – Can play all system, but record in NTSC only

 

We also do film transfer to VHS, SVHS, DVD, VCD, SVCD, MiniDV and Digital8.

The films we can transfer as follows, Regular 8, Super 8 and 16mm film with or without sound.

Information on DVD recording:

1) All conversions done on to DVD the quality of the video will be the same as the original. The format used 

    to record DVD's are DVD-R or DVD+R, which is an MPEG 2. The audio is converted to 2 channel 

    Dolby Digital. 

 

2) We only use name  brands DVD+/-R's. We do not use no name brands or generic for the reason it  may 

     not play on your DVD player or DVD-Rom on your computer. Also the quality of the video will not be  

     the same as the original.

 

3) The DVD-R can only hold up to 2 hours of recording. If the video is 2 hours and 1 minute, the one 1 

     minute will not be recorded. 

 

4) Most DVD players and DVD-Rom players on the computers can play recorded DVD-R's. To confirm if 

    your DVD player will play DVD+/-R you can go to www.videohelp.com for information.

 

5) We also offer double sided DVD, which means you can get up to 4 hours on one disc (2 hours each   

    side). To play the other side you need to flip the DVD manual over in the DVD player or DVD-Rom.

6) We also do DVD+/-RW and DVD Dual Layer upon request. Please email your requirements and 

     a firm price will be given.

 

7) All transfer to DVD's are Region 0 or Region free.

 

8) Dual Layer DVD's can hold up to 4 hours of SP video quality.

 

Information on VCD and SVCD recording:

1) Video CD (VCD)  is recorded on a CD-R format, which is MPEG-1. On a 80 minutes disc it can hold 

    up to 75 minutes of video. The quality of the video is only good as the original and the resolution is    

    approx. 250 lines. Super Video CD (SVCD) is also recorded on a CD-R format, which is MPEG-2. On 

    a 80 minute disc it can hold up to 35 minutes of video. The resolution of the video is approx. 350 lines.

 

2) Most of the DVD players and CD-Rom on your computer can play VCD. To play SVCD you will          

    need  a DVD player or DVD-Rom and most of the players do play SVCD. To confirm if your DVD 

    player will play VCD or SVCD you can go to www.videohelp.com for information.
